About

Lama Karma Drodhul, born in 1974 in Eastern Tibet, became a monk at Thrangu Monastery at the age of twelve and after attending shedra (monastic college), received full ordination at the age of twenty.  He came to the United States in 1997 and has been his uncle, Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche’s attendant since that time.  He has completed two three-year retreats under Khenpo Rinpoche and is now coretreat master at the Karme Ling Retreat Center in Delhi, New York. Lama Karma travels widely and brings a warm, energetic vibrancy to his teaching and guidance of students. He is based at KTD in Woodstock, New York.  Lama Karma Drodul is a skilled writer in classical Tibetan. His published books include Amrita of Eloquence: A Biography of Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche and Siddhas of Ga.

Lama Karma is sponsoring the carving of 35 Buddha prayers on eight sets of stones in Tibet. You can be a part of this spiritual endeavor by contributing a small amount through PayPal to connect with the merit. The stones will be placed on a renowned Mani Wall, adding to its spiritual significance. This project will culminate on the 15th of the lunar calendar, dedicated to the victims of tragic wars, emphasizing peace and compassion for all beings.

My Animals

Lama Karma and the Red Robin sanctuary save yaks, chickens, rabbits, and pigs from slaughter. The animals are given a new home where they can live freely, receive medical care, and interact with their caretakers. The sanctuary promotes animal welfare awareness and aims to inspire others to help animals.
